Why Lelit?

Italian Engineering, Honest Pricing, A Machine for Every Stage of the Journey.

Lelit has been manufacturing espresso equipment in Milan since 1991. In that time the brand has built a reputation for something that very few Italian espresso machine manufacturers can claim: genuinely professional-grade performance at prices that don't require a second mortgage. Every machine in the Lelit lineup uses the same LCC (Lelit Control Center) OLED management system, the same commercial-standard Lelit58 group head architecture, and the same Italian build quality — what changes between models is the boiler configuration, the feature set, and the complexity of the workflow.

Di Pacci is Australia's authorised Lelit dealer and stocks the full range across five stores. We've sold and serviced Lelit machines for years — this guide is written from that experience, not from marketing materials. We'll tell you honestly which machine suits which buyer, and where the real trade-offs are.

"The best Lelit machine isn't the most expensive one — it's the one that still excites you to use six months after you bought it."

All models are available in-store for demonstration. Finance options (Afterpay, Zip, and more) are available on every machine. Call Di Pacci on (02) 9758 0760 if you want to talk through your options before buying.

Lelit Anna — The Honest Entry Point

PL41TEM · Single Boiler · PID · Entry Level
Entry Level
Lelit Anna PL41TEM Espresso Machine

The Lelit Anna PL41TEM is where most Lelit journeys begin. It is a compact, single-boiler machine with PID temperature control — making it one of the best-specced entry-level espresso machines available in Australia. The PID puts the Anna in a different category to most machines at this price point: you are brewing at a precisely controlled temperature from the first shot, not hoping the boiler has stabilised.

The Lelit58 commercial group head — the same architecture found throughout the entire range — means your Anna accepts the same 58mm accessories, precision baskets, and portafilters as the Bianca. Your skills and equipment transfer directly if you upgrade later. The 3-way solenoid valve keeps spent pucks dry and the group head ready for backflushing, which is not standard on most machines at this price.

The Anna does require you to wait between brewing and steaming — it is a single boiler machine. For a household that drinks one or two coffees in the morning, predominantly black or with occasional milk, this is rarely a friction point in practice. For a household that makes back-to-back lattes, the Victoria or Elizabeth is the more suitable starting point.

Who It's For

First-time home espresso buyers who want a genuinely capable machine without paying for features they're not yet ready to use. The Anna teaches you the fundamentals of espresso — grind, dose, tamp, extract — without overwhelming complexity. A natural stepping stone into the Lelit ecosystem.

Lelit Victoria — The Fast Starter

PL91T · Single Boiler · PID · Pre-infusion
Intermediate
Lelit Victoria PL91T Espresso Machine

The Lelit Victoria PL91T is Di Pacci's most commonly recommended first prosumer machine — and for good reason. It warms up from cold in under 10 minutes (genuinely fast for a machine of this calibre), produces excellent espresso from a 58mm commercial group with PID temperature control, and operates with the simplicity that makes it approachable for users still developing their technique.

The Victoria uses a single stainless steel boiler with a 3-way solenoid valve, mechanical pre-infusion, and the full LCC OLED interface. Temperature control is excellent — the PID keeps the boiler within tight tolerances, which matters especially for lighter roast coffees where brew temperature directly affects extraction quality. The 58mm Lelit58 group head accepts the full range of IMS baskets, precision tampers, and naked portafilters.

Where the Victoria asks for patience is milk drinks. Being a single-boiler machine, you brew first, purge, wait for the boiler to climb to steam temperature, then froth. For a morning routine with one or two drinks, this adds less than two minutes. For households making multiple flat whites daily, the Elizabeth's dual boiler eliminates that wait entirely.

Who It's For

The buyer who wants genuine prosumer performance, values a fast morning routine, and either drinks mostly black coffee or is prepared for the brew-then-steam workflow. The Victoria is also the most common machine recommended to buyers upgrading from a superautomatic who want to develop manual espresso skills.

Lelit Kate — All-in-One Convenience

PL82T · Single Boiler · Built-in Grinder · PID
Intermediate
Lelit Kate PL82T Espresso Machine with built-in grinder

The Lelit Kate PL82T is Lelit's flagship all-in-one machine — a fully capable espresso machine with a built-in 38mm conical burr grinder in a single stainless steel unit. For buyers who want quality espresso from fresh beans in the smallest possible bench footprint, and who don't want to manage a separate grinder, the Kate is the most streamlined answer Lelit offers.

The integrated grinder doses directly into the 58mm portafilter with programmable grind time for one or two doses via the LCC. PID temperature control, a 3-way solenoid valve, and the same commercial-style group head as the rest of the range make the Kate a genuinely capable espresso machine — not just a convenience appliance. The backlit manometer lets you monitor extraction pressure in real time.

The honest trade-off: the built-in 38mm conical burr grinder, while good for its size, cannot match the grind consistency of a dedicated standalone grinder at a similar total price point. And because grinder and machine are integrated, you cannot upgrade one without replacing the entire unit. For buyers who want to grow their espresso skills and equipment over time, the Victoria or Elizabeth paired with a standalone grinder will always offer more flexibility.

Who It's For

Buyers who prioritise bench space efficiency and simplicity above all else. Counter-limited kitchens, office setups, those who want fresh-ground espresso without managing two separate machines. The Kate is also excellent for partners who want quality coffee from a single, easy-to-understand unit.

Lelit MaraX — Intelligent Heat Exchange

PL62X · HX Boiler · Dual PID · L58E Group
Advanced
Lelit MaraX PL62X Espresso Machine

The Lelit MaraX PL62X is the machine that sits between the Victoria and Elizabeth in the Lelit lineup — and it does so in a way that neither simply splitting the difference nor filling a gap. The MaraX has its own distinctive engineering: a 1.8L stainless steel heat-exchange boiler with Lelit's patented double-probe thermosyphon circulation system that automatically stabilises brew temperature.

Traditional heat-exchanger machines require "temperature surfing" — flushing hot water through the group head to bring the brew temperature down to the correct range before pulling a shot. The MaraX's dual-probe system measures the water temperature at two points in the thermosyphon circuit and adjusts the boiler temperature automatically to maintain a stable brew temperature at the group. In practice, this means the MaraX is ready to pull a shot without temperature surfing — a significant practical advantage over traditional HX machines.

The L58E group head (the same as the Bianca) with mechanical pre-infusion, dual manometers (pump and boiler pressure simultaneously displayed), a silent rotary pump, and the full LCC OLED interface make the MaraX one of the most capable and consistent machines at its price. Simultaneous brewing and steaming is possible — a single boiler's thermal mass heats both the brew water and steam simultaneously via the heat exchanger design.

Who It's For

The enthusiast who wants commercial-style HX performance with Lelit's intelligent temperature management, prefers a simultaneous brew-and-steam workflow, and values a compact footprint. The natural upgrade from the Victoria for buyers who make multiple milk drinks daily but aren't yet ready for the Elizabeth's price point.

Lelit Elizabeth — Best Value Dual Boiler

PL92T · Dual Boiler · Dual PID · Programmable Dosing
Advanced
Lelit Elizabeth PL92T Dual Boiler Espresso Machine

The Lelit Elizabeth PL92T is, in Di Pacci's view, the most compelling value proposition in the prosumer espresso machine market. Dual stainless steel boilers with dual independent PID temperature control, programmable volumetric dosing, built-in shot timer, mechanical pre-infusion, and the ability to brew and steam simultaneously — all for a price considerably below ECM, Profitec, or La Marzocco equivalents with the same dual-boiler configuration.

The Elizabeth generates 2 bar of steam pressure — Lelit notes this is exceptional for a machine this compact, never previously seen at this size. The result is dense, stable microfoam for latte art and velvety flat whites. Each boiler has its own LCC PID display page, allowing completely independent temperature management: set your brew boiler to 93°C for a dark roast and dial it down to 89°C for a delicate light-roast single origin without waiting for a single boiler to cycle.

Warm-up takes approximately 15 minutes for both boilers to reach operating temperature — longer than the Victoria's sub-10 minutes, but entirely standard for a dual-boiler machine. The Elizabeth is also one of the quietest machines in the Lelit range, with a vibratory pump tuned for low noise output. A 2.5L water reservoir reduces refill frequency during longer sessions.

Who It's For

The home barista who makes multiple milk drinks daily, values dual-boiler temperature precision, wants a machine that matches their growing espresso knowledge, and wants the most feature-complete Lelit available below the Bianca's price. The Elizabeth is Di Pacci's most frequently recommended machine for buyers who want real dual-boiler performance at an honest price.

Lelit Bianca — The Flagship. Flow Control. Precision.

PL162T V3 · Dual Boiler · E61 · Flow Control Paddle · Rotary Pump
Expert
Lelit Bianca PL162T V3 Espresso Machine

The Lelit Bianca PL162T V3 is the pinnacle of the Lelit home range — and one of the most celebrated prosumer espresso machines in the world. Where every other Lelit machine manages temperature, the Bianca goes a step further: it gives you manual control over the flow rate and pressure of water through the coffee puck during extraction, using a wooden paddle mounted directly on the E61 group head. This is pressure profiling — the ability to create, adjust, and repeat custom extraction curves that are simply not possible on conventional machines.

Internally, the Bianca runs dual stainless steel boilers, a silent rotary pump, dual independent PID via the full LCC OLED interface, and a dual manometer — one showing pump pressure at the group, one showing boiler pressure. The V3 update added electronic Low Flow mode (programmable pre-infusion and flow reduction phases managed automatically by the LCC), four energy management modes, faster warm-up via an improved NTC system, and longer wands that prevent body contact.

The repositionable 2L water tank can be placed on the rear or either side of the machine, or the Bianca can be plumbed directly into a water line with a drain connection. The AISI 304 stainless steel body with walnut wood accents is among the most striking aesthetics in home espresso — a machine people display rather than hide.

Who It's For

The experienced home barista who wants total control over their extraction, understands what flow profiling achieves, and is prepared to invest the time to explore what the Bianca makes possible. Also ideal for buyers who want the La Marzocco extraction experience at a significantly lower price. Not recommended as a first machine — the Bianca rewards users who already understand espresso fundamentals.

Ownership Guide

Getting the Most from Your Lelit Machine

Grinder — Your Most Important Purchase Decision

Every Lelit machine (except the Kate) requires a separate grinder — and your grinder is the single most impactful variable in espresso quality. A Lelit Victoria paired with a quality grinder (Lelit Fred, Eureka Mignon, Mazzer Mini, or similar) will consistently outperform any machine paired with a poor grinder. Di Pacci offers grinder-and-machine bundles that are better value than buying separately — ask our team about current package pricing when you enquire.

Water Quality — Protect Your Boiler

Limescale is the most common cause of early boiler failure in Australian espresso machines. Lelit recommends using filtered water or a water softener — and includes a small softener filter in the box. Di Pacci recommends investing in a dedicated inline water filter, particularly in areas with hard tap water (most of coastal Australia). The cost of a filter cartridge is a fraction of the cost of a boiler descale or replacement. All Lelit machines include a water quality indicator in the LCC — use it.

🔧 Routine Maintenance Schedule

Weekly: Backflush with water, clean portafilter and basket, wipe steam wand. Monthly: Backflush with Puly Caff or Cafetto cleaning tablet. Every 2–3 months: Descale if your water quality indicator suggests it. Annually: Group head seal inspection — Di Pacci can advise on seal replacement and full service.

Warm-Up — Don't Rush the Machine

All Lelit machines benefit from a full warm-up before the first shot. The Victoria is ready in under 10 minutes; the Elizabeth and Bianca benefit from 15 minutes for both boilers to stabilise. Pulling a shot too early — before the group head has fully thermostabilised — produces a noticeably different and usually worse result. The Bianca V3's improved NTC system and faster warm-up reduce this wait time meaningfully compared to V2.

Servicing in Australia

Frequently Asked Questions

Lelit Espresso Machines — Common Questions

Which Lelit machine is best for beginners?
The Lelit Victoria PL91T is Di Pacci's most recommended starting point for new home baristas. It has PID temperature control, a 58mm commercial group head, fast warm-up (under 10 minutes), and a simple enough workflow to learn on without frustrating limitations. The Anna PL41TEM is a more affordable entry point if budget is the primary concern. The Kate PL82T is the best option if you want everything in a single compact unit without managing a separate grinder.
What is the difference between the Lelit Elizabeth and MaraX?
The Elizabeth PL92T uses dual boilers — one dedicated to brew, one to steam — with completely independent PID temperature control for each. It is the more precise option, particularly for espresso-focused users and those who regularly switch between different roast temperatures. The MaraX PL62X uses a single heat-exchange boiler with Lelit's patented dual-probe thermosyphon system that automatically stabilises brew temperature — making it the more intelligent and compact HX option. Both allow simultaneous brewing and steaming. The Elizabeth costs more; the MaraX is more compact. For most buyers who primarily make milk drinks and want a dual-function machine, Di Pacci recommends the Elizabeth if budget allows.
Do I need a separate grinder with a Lelit machine?
Yes, for all Lelit models except the Kate PL82T which has a built-in grinder. All other Lelit machines — Anna, Victoria, MaraX, Elizabeth, Bianca — require a separate grinder. This is not a limitation; it is a design philosophy that produces better results. A dedicated standalone grinder consistently outperforms an integrated one. Di Pacci offers machine-and-grinder bundles — pairing your Lelit with a Lelit Fred, Eureka Mignon, Macap, or Mazzer grinder at a combined price that saves money versus buying separately.
Is the Lelit Bianca worth the premium over the Elizabeth?
The Bianca PL162T V3 is worth the premium specifically if you are interested in pressure and flow profiling — manually controlling the extraction curve during a shot via the wooden paddle on the E61 group. If you want maximum consistency and repeatability without hands-on paddle management, the Elizabeth's programmable volumetric dosing and dual-boiler precision will serve you equally well or better for everyday use. The Bianca rewards users who treat espresso as an ongoing experiment; the Elizabeth rewards those who want a consistently excellent, hands-off workflow.
How long do Lelit machines last?
With proper maintenance — regular backflushing, correct water filtration, periodic seal replacement, and occasional descaling — Lelit machines are built to last 10–15 years of daily home use. The stainless steel boilers, commercial-standard group heads, and accessible internal components mean that most wear items (seals, solenoid valves, pump) can be replaced independently rather than requiring full machine replacement. Di Pacci services and repairs Lelit machines in-house and stocks parts in Australia.
Where can I buy Lelit espresso machines in Australia?
Di Pacci Coffee Company is an authorised Lelit dealer in Australia, stocking the full range across five showrooms — Sydney (Chapel Street), Melbourne, Queensland, Perth, and Port Macquarie — and online at dipacci.com.au/collections/lelit-domestic-coffee-machine. In-store demonstrations are available. Finance options (Afterpay, Zip, and more) are available on all models. Call (02) 9758 0760 to discuss which model suits your setup.
