Mazzer's home and prosumer range (Mini, Super Jolly) is optimised for espresso — fine, stepless adjustment in the espresso range, with limited coarseness for filter brewing. They can grind for moka pot and aeropress comfortably, but for V60, drip, or French press, a dedicated filter grinder or a single-dose grinder like the Niche Zero is generally a better fit. If you brew both espresso and filter regularly, consider the Mazzer Philos (single-dose) or pair the Mazzer Mini with a dedicated filter grinder.
In a typical home environment, Mazzer flat burrs can last well over a decade — most home users never need to replace them. In commercial use, Mazzer recommends replacing burrs after grinding approximately 600–1,000kg of coffee.
