A “necessity” for stainless steel dual boilers?

After several years of awkward hand filling my Rocket HX machine with filtered water, when the time came recently to upgrade to a stainless steel dual boiler machine, the opportunity/need to plumb it in arose. Research suggested this was “compulsory” for such a machine, but of course many different views on doing this were received. Nonetheless I decided to go ahead. But with what filter and who would help me?

DiPacci recommended this BWT kit and after three attempts I had it professionally installed by a qualified plumber. Result - fabulous installation of a top quality filter system which functions perfectly. This also included a drip tray drainage which works a treat. Having a professional plumber was a key ingredient to the successful installation.

I now have my new machine protected with properly filtered water and my coffee preparation work flow considerably simplified. Better tasting coffee also, of course.
