The Di Pacci A-frame chalkboard is a footpath specials board with the Di Pacci logo printed on it, on a galvanised steel pipe frame welded into one piece — so it comes out of the box finished, with nothing to bolt together.

The board is 60 × 90cm, the standard café size: big enough to read a specials list from across the footpath, small enough to sit against a shopfront without blocking the door. The frame is galvanised steel pipe, thickened and reinforced, and welded as a single unit rather than assembled from parts with fittings. Galvanising is what stops a steel frame rusting when it lives outside; the welds are what stop it working loose.

This is the upgraded version of the board. The change is the frame: earlier A-frames of this type ship as a kit of pipe sections and connectors that you assemble and then re-tighten every few weeks as the joints loosen. This one is welded, so there's no assembly on day one and no wobble on day two hundred. It carries the same Di Pacci branding as the wind barrier and umbrella, so the three work as a set on a shopfront.

Does the A-frame board need assembling?

No. The galvanised steel frame is welded as one piece, so the board arrives finished. Take it out of the box, open the legs and stand it up.

What's different about the upgraded version?

The frame. The previous style of pipe-frame A-board ships as sections joined with connectors, which need tightening over time. The upgraded board uses thicker, reinforced galvanised pipe welded into a single unit, so there are no joints to loosen and nothing to assemble.

Can the board be left outside in the rain?

The galvanised steel frame is fine outdoors — that's what galvanising is for. Treat the chalkboard surface like any other: rain will wash off stick chalk, so bring the board in overnight or in bad weather, as you would with any footpath sign.
