The Di Pacci café umbrella is a 2m centre-pole umbrella with the Di Pacci logo printed on the canopy, supplied with its aluminium frame and a weighted base so it goes straight out onto the footpath the day it arrives.

A 2m span is the size that covers a two-seat café table without spilling into the walkway beside it. The frame is aluminium, which is what you want outdoors: it doesn't rust when it's left out in the weather and it's light enough to carry in and out each day. The base is included, so there's nothing else to order before it stands up.

How many people does a 2m café umbrella cover?

A 2m span comfortably shades a two-seat table with both chairs. It will cover a small four-seat table at midday but the outer chairs will be in sun as the angle drops. For four to six seats you want a 2.7m or 3m canopy.

Does the Di Pacci café umbrella come with a base?

Yes. A weighted base is included and ships in the same consignment, so the umbrella stands on its own on a flat surface. You don't need a table with an umbrella hole.

Can I leave the umbrella open overnight or in wind?

Close it. A 2m centre-pole umbrella on a portable base is designed to be opened for trade and closed at the end of the day, and it should be closed as soon as the wind picks up. Leaving any umbrella of this type open in gusts is the most common way ribs get bent.

Why aluminium rather than timber or steel?
