The Expobar Ruggero Classic V2.0 is a custom-painted 2 group café machine with high groups for takeaway cups and a copper boiler built for steady service.

The Ruggero Classic V2.0 runs an 11.5 litre copper boiler with a heat exchanger for each group, a rotary pump and volumetric dosing with a manual override switch on every group. It has two stainless steel steam taps, one hot water tap and automatic boiler filling, and the standard element runs on a 15 amp single-phase supply.

The V2.0 update keeps the classic Ruggero body shape and adds a new badge, a lower back panel, a stainless steel cup rail, an unobstructed lightbox strip and a split cup-tray lid that technicians can open easily. The body can be painted in any automotive colour available in Australia, and the lightbox can carry your own sign. The Ruggero name honours Henry “Rodg” Rogers, one of Melbourne's early espresso technicians.

How Heat Exchangers Keep Service Moving

On the Ruggero, the big copper boiler is held at steam temperature. Brew water does not sit in it; instead each group pulls fresh water through its own heat exchanger inside the boiler.

  • The 11.5 litre boiler supplies steam and hot water continuously from two steam taps and one hot water tap.
  • Fresh water for each shot is heated on its way through that group's heat exchanger.
  • Both groups and both steam wands can run at once without waiting for the machine to recover.
