The Mahlkonig DK27 LVT is a floor-standing industrial grinder built to turn out Turkish-fine coffee by the hundred kilo for roasteries and packers.

The Mahlkonig DK27 LVT pairs 180 mm cast steel burrs cut for a Turkish grind with a 5.5 kW three-phase motor, and Mahlkönig rates it at about 170 kg per hour at Turkish fineness. A bean hopper of around 30 kg sits on top and a 200 litre ground-coffee container rolls underneath, so it can run whole production batches without stopping.

The "T" in LVT matters: these burrs are set up for the very fine, powdery grind that Turkish and Middle Eastern coffee needs, which a standard industrial grinder can't reach consistently. If you pack filter or espresso grinds rather than Turkish, the standard DK27 burr sets are the better fit. Why Turkish Grind Needs Dedicated Burrs

Turkish coffee is ground finer than espresso, almost to a powder. Push an ordinary industrial burr set that far and you get heat, clumping and a slow, uneven grind.

  • The LVT burr geometry is cut for that powdery target, so it reaches Turkish fineness without forcing the burrs together.
  • Large 180 mm burrs at about 980 rpm spread the work over a big cutting surface, which keeps heat down at high output.
  • An air-cooled grinder casing and surface-cooled motor carry heat away during long runs.

The result is a consistent, cool Turkish grind at production volume, which is what keeps packed product tasting the same from bag to bag.
