Di Pacci — 180 mm Tungsten Carbide Industrial Turkish Coffee Grinder

Mahlkönig DK27 LVHT Industrial Grinder

The Mahlkönig DK27 LVHT is a floor-standing roastery grinder built to produce Turkish-fine coffee by the hundred kilos, hour after hour.

The Mahlkönig DK27 LVHT is the Turkish-grind version of Mahlkönig's DK27 industrial grinder. Large 180 mm tungsten carbide burrs turn out up to 220 kg of Turkish-fine coffee per hour (laboratory figure), driven by a 5500 W three-phase motor with high starting torque and surface cooling for continuous running.

Tungsten carbide is the reason to choose the LVHT over the steel-burred versions: Mahlkönig rates the burrs at roughly 35 to 40 tonnes of grinding at a median setting, about twice the life of the cast-steel set. That matters when the grinder runs every shift. Mahlkönig now lists the DK27 as a legacy model, so this is a special-order item and we confirm availability before you commit.

Key Features of the DK27 LVHT

⚙️ 180 mm tungsten carbide burrs

Extremely wear-resistant burrs hold their cutting edge for an estimated 35 to 40 tonnes, so grind quality stays even between burr changes.

☕ True Turkish-fine output

The LVHT is set up for Turkish grind, producing the powder-fine particle size that cezve and ibrik coffee needs.

🔁 Built for continuous running

A three-phase motor with surface cooling, high starting torque and two extra cooling fans is made to run all day on a production line.

🎚️ Repeatable adjustment

Stepless grind adjustment returns accurately to the same setting, so each batch matches the last.

🧲 Product protection

A magnet in the hopper catches stray metal before it reaches the burrs, and overload protection guards the motor.

🛠️ Low-maintenance bearings

Service-free, constantly greased bearings cut routine maintenance on a machine that rarely stops.

What's in the Box

  • Mahlkönig DK27 LVHT grinder with base
  • Movable ground coffee container

The DK27 needs a three-phase supply installed by a licensed electrician and a level floor that can carry over 150 kg. Options such as a pre-breaker, extra ventilation or an electro-pneumatic gate are quoted at the time of order.

DK27 LVHT vs DK27 LVH

Both use the same 180 mm tungsten carbide burrs, motor and frame. The difference is the grind they are set up to produce.

Di Pacci recommendation: Choose the LVHT only if Turkish coffee is a large share of what you grind; for espresso, filter and retail bags, the LVH or a smaller industrial grinder is the better buy. Don't bother with a DK27 at all if you grind less than a few hundred kilos a week; a shop grinder from our deli grinder range will do the job for a fraction of the cost.

Who This Grinder Is For

✓ Ideal if you:
  • Run a roastery or packing line that sells Turkish-ground coffee
  • Grind hundreds of kilos per day and need continuous duty
  • Want carbide burrs that last tens of tonnes
  • Have three-phase power and floor space for a 160 cm tall machine
  • Need repeatable settings batch after batch
✗ Consider alternatives if you:
  • Only grind for a café counter; see our commercial grinders
  • Grind retail bags in a shop; a deli grinder runs on single-phase power
  • Don't have a three-phase supply
  • Mostly grind for espresso or filter rather than Turkish coffee
