Di Pacci โ€” Needle-Valve Flow Control Single Group Espresso Machine โ€” Custom Finish

Slayer Espresso Single Group Custom Gloss White

This Slayer Espresso Single Group is a one-off: a brand-new Slayer finished by the Di Pacci team in full gloss white with high-polish chrome X legs.

The Slayer Espresso Single Group is built around Slayer's patented needle valve, which lets you run a slow, low-flow pre-brew before full pressure, plus a PID-controlled 1.1 litre brew boiler kept separate from a 3.3 litre steam boiler. A rotary pump, a commercial group rated for a million cycles and a 220โ€“240 V, 10 amp electrical spec make it a genuine commercial machine that fits a home bench or a small venue.

What sets this one apart is the finish. Rather than Slayer's standard silver X frame and black panels, our team finished it in full gloss white with high-polish chrome legs, so it's the only one like it. It is a single unit; once it's gone, a new custom Slayer means ordering from the factory and waiting.

Key Features of the Slayer Single Group

๐ŸŽ›๏ธ Needle-valve pre-brew

A three-position actuator lets you start at a restricted flow, then move to full pressure, giving sweetness and body you can steer.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Independent boilers

A PID-controlled 1.1 L brew boiler sits apart from a 3.3 L steam boiler, so brewing and steaming don't fight each other.

๐Ÿ”„ Rotary pump

Commercial-style rotary vane pump builds pressure quickly and can draw from a reservoir.

๐Ÿชž Shot mirror

See puck saturation and flow under the portafilter without bending down.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ Commercial group

Grouphead rated for a million cycles, built for daily use for years.

๐Ÿค One-off finish

Gloss white panels with high-polish chrome X legs, finished by the Di Pacci team.

How Slayer's Needle Valve Changes the Shot

Most machines give you two states: off and nine bar. The Slayer adds a third, restricted-flow stage controlled by a needle valve in the group.

  • Pull the actuator to the pre-brew position and water trickles into the puck at a low flow rate.
  • Hold there for as long as the coffee needs, which lets you grind finer than usual without choking the shot.
  • Move to full position for the main extraction, then back to stop.

Finer grinding plus a gentle start gives fuller, sweeter espresso, and you can change the profile shot by shot without menus.

Slayer Single Group vs La Marzocco GS3 MP

Two of the most sought-after single-group machines, with different ideas about control.

Feature Slayer Single Group La Marzocco GS3 MP
Flow control Needle valve, 3-position actuator Mechanical paddle, conical valve
Brew boiler 1.1 L, PID 1.5 L, PID
Steam boiler 3.3 L 3.5 L
Group Commercial grouphead Saturated group
Character Low-flow pre-brew, finer grind Pressure profiling by paddle

Di Pacci recommendation: Choose the Slayer if you want its low-flow pre-brew style and a finish no one else has. Don't bother if you want plug-and-play consistency without learning a profile โ€” a dual-boiler like the La Marzocco GS3 MP or a simpler machine will serve you better.

Grinders That Suit the Slayer

Needle-valve pre-brew rewards a grinder that can go fine and stay consistent.

Grinder Type Why it pairs well
Mahlkรถnig grinders Commercial flat burr On-demand dosing and the fine adjustment Slayer profiles need
Mazzer grinders Commercial flat / conical Built to last decades alongside a machine at this level
Turin single-dose grinders 64 mm flat, single dose Low retention for swapping beans at home

  • Prefer Slayer's standard finish; ask us about the Slayer V4 1 Group

Slayer Espresso Single Group โ€” Frequently Asked Questions

Is this Slayer Single Group brand new?

Yes. It is a brand-new Slayer Espresso Single Group that the Di Pacci team finished in gloss white with high-polish chrome X legs.

What power does the Slayer Espresso Single Group need?

The 220 to 240 volt version draws 10 amps and 2.1 to 2.4 kW, so it runs on a standard 10 amp outlet. Call (02) 9758 0760 if you want us to check your setup.

What does the Slayer needle valve do?

It restricts water flow during a pre-brew stage, letting you grind finer and extract more gently before moving to full pressure.

Does it need to be plumbed in?

No. It has a rotary pump that can draw from a reservoir, and a removable drip tray for non-plumbed installs. It can also be plumbed.

Is the Slayer good for a home kitchen?

It is a commercial machine, so it needs about 470 mm of width, 580 mm of depth and a 10 amp outlet, but it suits a serious home setup.

Can I get another one in this finish?

This is a one-off. We can quote a custom Slayer from the factory, but expect a lead time.
