The Ascaso Steel Duo PID PLUS is the flagship of Ascaso's Steel Duo line — handcrafted in Barcelona by Ascaso Factory S.L., who have been building espresso machines since 1962. It shares the same core architecture as the base Steel Duo PID — two independent aluminium and stainless steel thermoblocks, one for brewing and one for steaming, with a 100% AISI 316 stainless steel water circuit that resists limescale build-up and delivers fresh water with every shot — but upgrades every detail that matters to a serious home barista.

What's the difference between the Steel Duo PID and the PID PLUS?

Both share the same dual-thermoblock core and dual PID. The PLUS adds a walnut joystick steam wand (vs a standard knob), an AISI 304 competition shower screen, an additional bottomless portafilter, a hot water tap, wire grid drip tray, two steam tips (1-hole and 3-hole), a food-grade silicone group gasket, and a full set of precision baskets — the upgrades that make it perform more like professional equipment.

Can it brew and steam at the same time?

Yes. With two independent thermoblocks — one dedicated to brewing and one to steaming — you can pull a shot and steam milk simultaneously, with no wait between the two.

How long does it take to warm up?

Customer Error Returns:
We are able to return the product for a refund if the packaging remains intact and the item has not been unboxed. Kindly notify us within 14 days of the date of delivery. If your item is unused and unboxed, we can issue a refund, minus a restocking & handling fee of 30% of the invoiced value, provided that we are notified within 14 days of the delivery date. The product must be returned at store or shipped by customer at their own cost. The refund or credit will be processed after the item has been returned and inspected to ensure that it is in re sellable condition. The product needs to be returned safely by the customer.
