The Faema Faemina brings Faema's professional dual-boiler know-how to a compact, app-connected home machine made entirely in Italy.

The Faema Faemina is a dual-boiler espresso machine with a 0.6 L coffee boiler and a 2.6 L steam boiler, group temperature set from the display or the Be Faema app, and a 2.5 L front-loading water tank with a built-in softening filter, so no plumbing is needed. It runs on a standard 10 amp outlet and is ready to brew in about five minutes.

Two details set it apart: the patented Up & Down cup tray, which raises or lowers to suit an espresso cup or a tall mug, and the optional Autosteam arm, which textures milk to temperature automatically. The body is steel and aluminium, built by Faema (part of Gruppo Cimbali), the company behind the E61 group.

What the Up & Down Tray Changes in the Cup

On most machines the drip tray sits at one height, so an espresso cup sits a long way below the spouts. Faema's patented Up & Down system fixes that.

  • Raise the tray for espresso cups, so the coffee falls only a short distance (about 80 mm clearance).
  • Lower it for mugs and takeaway cups (about 110 mm clearance).
  • Less drop means less splashing and less disturbed crema on short drinks.
