Lovely grinder fun to use and my coffee is way nicer. It is however not zero retention at all, overall very happy with it.

Absolutely love my Niche Zero.. Ease of use, consistency & so much quieter than my old grinder.. The kids now sleep thru my early morning coffee making… Thanks Di Pacci.. 1st class service from you guys too!

if you are big fan of conical grinder for home use, this is what you are after!!
this grinder is very quiet and has low retention compared with commercial grade grinder.
Also, this one is well matched with light~medium roasted specialty grade or single origin coffee.

Extremely happy with my Niche Grinder, feels sturdy, looks better up close, the perfect grind, fluffy with no clumps and has made my favourite beans taste even better, the simplicity of use is a winner, took only two tweaks of the dial to get the grind size spot on, so glad I took the plunge, it’s definitely worth the hype.

I've been following the Niche Zero for a while and finally decided to go for it. The service from Mik was A-plus, with shipping from Sydney to Melbourne going smoothly even though we've been in lockdown the last couple of weeks.

As for the grinder itself, it's paired with an ECM Synchronika and now I've had some time to dial in my first batch of beans and cranked out a few espressos and latte's, I have to say it's a game changer in terms of taste profile.

Grind retention is indeed almost zero despite only having put through a hundred or so grams of beans. A highly recommended upgrade if you're lucky enough to get your hands on one!

I bought this after watching James Hoffmann’s 1 year review on the grinder. Such a great grinder, absolutely cannot fault it. I was a barista for a few years and loved making coffee, but there were certain things that really ground my gears, mess being the top one that bothered me, coffee grinds everywhere, so the catch cup is awesome, fits standard baskets perfectly, hardly any splashback on the spout as well, and the little disc underneath the catch cup, how did I not know I needed this?! Keeps the grinder itself clean, as well as the floor and all bench surfaces involved, and the grinder itself is easy to clean as a whole. You can literally take the whole burr chamber apart, clean it and have it fully recalibrated and working within half an hour. The recalibrate feature, so good, again, didn’t know how much I needed that, it’s easy to do, no technicians involved to come and recalibrate the burrs, and it doesn’t take 4hours to strip it down. Love the flow restrictor disc inside, just keeps the consistency and the selling point, the thing we all hate, retention within the burr chamber, the ‘zero retention’ feature, amazing, obviously you’ll catch a couple grinds still between the burrs but it’s not even a gram, I’ve had 3 grinders, one commercial, and all of them retained a lot, between 3-10g within the chambers, the niche has literally saved me already about 100-150$ in coffee within a few months, just from not having to purge tons of coffee out. It’s quiet for a grinder, and fast too, and it’s aesthetically pleasing, looks beautiful next to my machine. Absolutely brilliant machine, the design features are incredible, you can see why it sells out so fast, it meets the needs of the intended audience, a wonderful piece of design from the makers, it’s a pleasure to use and solves all of the gripes I had with my old grinders. Service from DiPacci was great, whilst there were delays in the preorder, that was not at all down to them, it was an importing issue, delays in ship traffic and imports to Australia. The team were super helpful, I’d been looking around for a niche, DiPacci were the cheapest of all of them and had the quickest delivery of grinders to Australia, I messaged late afternoon and received a call within 5-10mins from the team, they were super helpful with that and I also received an email letting me know of the updates on the grinder and the import situation. When it arrived, it came through one of their delivery partners, honestly didn’t even know it was due to arrive, I thought it was still in transit to Australia, was a great surprise though! Overall fantastic machine and a great company to purchase from.
