The Rocket Appartamento TCA is the next generation of the iconic Appartamento — Rocket Espresso's most celebrated home machine — redesigned from the ground up by Valerio Cometti and V12 Design. TCA stands for Temperature Control Adjustment: a hybrid system that lets you select one of four boiler pressure presets (0.9 / 1.0 / 1.1 / 1.2 bar) directly via the brew lever — no screens, no menus, no extra buttons. This translates directly to brew temperature: a lower setting for delicate light roasts, a higher setting for darker blends, all behind Rocket's signature clean front panel.

The insulated 1.8L copper boiler reduces energy consumption by around 15% over the original Appartamento and means significantly fewer and shorter cooling flushes than a traditional heat-exchanger machine. Beyond the temperature system, every detail has been updated: a one-piece solid stainless steel frame for greater rigidity, an RGB LED indicator that communicates temperature, heating status and water-level alerts through colour, a magnetic wider drip tray, a redesigned angular E61 group, an ergonomic portafilter with a chrome "R" tip, and enlarged steam and hot-water knobs. Adjust boiler pressure between 0.9, 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 bar by actuating the brew lever in programming mode — no display, no buttons, no menus. Lower settings suit light roasts and single origins; higher settings suit darker blends. The RGB LED confirms the selected setting through colour.

A 1.8L copper heat-exchanger boiler, fully insulated for around 15% energy reduction over the original and improved thermal stability. Brew and steam simultaneously — and the insulation reduces cooling-flush frequency compared to the original.

⚙️ Updated Angular E61 Group

A redesigned, visually distinctive angular E61 group. The thermosiphon continuously circulates hot water for thermal stability and pre-warming, with mechanical pre-infusion saturating the puck at line pressure before the pump engages.

The RGB LED indicator communicates operating modes, the selected TCA temperature setting, water-level alerts and heating status through colour — keeping the front panel completely clean. Selectable eco standby after 30 minutes.

What does TCA mean and how do I use it?

You change the setting by actuating the brew lever in a specific sequence (detailed in the manual) — no screens or buttons. The RGB LED confirms the selected preset through colour. Do I still need to do cooling flushes on the TCA?

Yes, but significantly fewer and shorter than the original Appartamento. The insulated boiler keeps the heat-exchanger water closer to target temperature after idle, reducing how much overheated water needs purging before a shot. After a long idle (30+ minutes), a short flush until the water runs smoothly is recommended; during an active back-to-back session, flushes are minimal or not needed.

What's the difference between the TCA and the original Appartamento?

The TCA is a ground-up redesign, not an incremental update. Can the Appartamento TCA be plumbed into mains water?

No — the TCA uses a vibration pump and is designed for reservoir (tank) use only, with a 1.9L removable tank. Customer Error Returns:
We are able to return the product for a refund if the packaging remains intact and the item has not been unboxed. Kindly notify us within 14 days of the date of delivery. If your item is unused and unboxed, we can issue a refund, minus a restocking & handling fee of 30% of the invoiced value, provided that we are notified within 14 days of the delivery date.
