Wega Rover 2GR Commercial Espresso Machine

A high-performance two-group commercial machine for medium-to-high volume cafés — premium-tier features in a compact, cost-effective Italian-built package.

The Wega Rover 2GR is a high-performance two-group commercial espresso machine engineered for medium-to-high volume cafés, restaurants and hospitality venues. Built in Italy by Wega — one of the world's most respected commercial espresso manufacturers — the Rover packs premium-tier features into a surprisingly compact footprint, making it one of the most capable and cost-effective two-group machines available in Australia.

With an 11.5L heat-exchanger boiler, automatic volumetric dosing, integrated shot counters, an adjustable drip tray and barista workspace lighting all included as standard, the Rover delivers commercial-grade consistency and workflow efficiency that outperforms far more expensive alternatives.

Key Features of the Wega Rover 2GR

☕ Two Group Heads

Two independent group heads for simultaneous extraction — serve two drinks at once and hold high throughput through peak service.

🔥 11.5L Heat-Exchanger Boiler

A large HX boiler delivers stable brew temperatures and continuous steam pressure, so you can brew and steam simultaneously without compromise.

🎯 4-Button Volumetric Dosing

Four programmable volumetric doses per group — single, double, long and manual — for consistent, repeatable shots without barista intervention.

📊 Shot Counters

Built-in shot counters per group head — usually a premium feature, standard on the Rover. Track output, schedule cleaning and monitor consistency.

📐 Adjustable Drip Tray

Adjusts to 8cm, 11cm and 14cm to fit espresso cups, flat white cups and tall takeaway cups — no adapters needed.

💡 Barista Workspace Lighting

LED lights illuminate the group head area as standard — better pour visibility in any lighting, plus a clean, professional look on the bar.

🌡️ Thermosiphon Stabilisation

Thermosiphon circulation keeps brew temperature stable through the group head, shot after shot, without user intervention.

💧 Pre-Infusion

Integrated pre-infusion gently saturates the puck before full extraction — reducing channelling for a more even, sweeter cup.

🔧 Easy Service Access

Internal components are designed for easy technician access to reduce downtime. Di Pacci's in-house Sydney team services all Wega machines.

Why the Wega Rover 2GR?

The Rover sits in a compelling position in the commercial market — it delivers features that most competitors reserve for premium-tier models at a more accessible price point. Shot counters, an adjustable drip tray and barista workspace lighting are typically found on machines costing considerably more, and having all three standard on the Rover is a genuine differentiator.

The 11.5L heat-exchanger boiler places the Rover between Wega's own Pegaso (11L) and Atlas (12L) — enough steam reserve for sustained high-volume service without the size and weight penalty of larger machines. At around 55kg empty, it's meaningfully lighter and more compact than comparable two-group machines in its class, making it easier to install and reposition on a service bar. For venues opening their first café, upgrading from a single-group setup, or needing a reliable workhorse for a busy bar, the Rover is one of the most complete packages available in Australia at this level.

Di Pacci note: The Wega Rover uses a different portafilter style from older E61-style Wega machines. If you're upgrading from an older Wega, check portafilter compatibility with our team before ordering additional accessories.

Wega Rover 2GR — Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Wega Rover a dual boiler machine?

No — it uses a single 11.5L boiler with a heat-exchanger (HX) system, which lets you brew and steam at the same time with stable temperatures via thermosiphon circulation. It's not a true dual boiler, but the HX design delivers reliable commercial performance for most café settings.

How much volume can it handle?

The Rover is built for medium-to-high volume cafés, restaurants and venues. Two group heads, the 11.5L boiler and 4-button volumetric dosing per group give it the steam capacity and workflow to sustain busy service. For very high-volume sites, our team can advise whether a larger boiler or three-group machine suits you better.

Does it need to be plumbed in?

Yes — like most commercial machines, the Rover requires a direct plumb-in water connection for commercial operation. Free commercial installation is available for Sydney metro areas; interstate or non-metro installation can be arranged on request.

Will my existing Wega portafilters fit?

Not necessarily — the Rover uses a different portafilter style from older E61-style Wega machines. If you're upgrading from an older Wega, check portafilter and accessory compatibility with our team before ordering extras.

What sets the Rover apart at its price?

Shot counters, an adjustable 3-height drip tray and LED barista workspace lighting are all standard — features usually reserved for more expensive machines. Combined with the 11.5L boiler, pre-infusion and a compact, lighter build, it's one of the most complete two-group packages in its price range.
