Di Pacci — 64 mm Flat Burr Single-Dose Espresso Grinder

Ceado E5SD Coffee Grinder

The Ceado E5SD is a single-dose grinder with 64 mm flat burrs and a bellows that blows the last grounds out of the chamber, so the dose you weigh in is the dose you get out.

The Ceado E5SD is an Italian single-dose espresso grinder built around 64 mm flat burrs. Instead of a big hopper, you weigh each dose, tip it in and grind, then squeeze the zero-retention bellows to push the remaining grounds out of the chamber and into your portafilter.

That workflow suits home baristas who switch beans often or keep a few different coffees on the go. Stepless adjustment with Ceado's Quick Set gear lets you move between espresso settings precisely, and flat burrs give the clarity that suits lighter and medium roasts.

Key Features of the Ceado E5SD

⚙️ 64 mm flat burrs

Flat burrs produce a tight particle spread, which brings out clarity and sweetness in espresso.

💨 Zero-retention bellows

A squeeze of the bellows pushes leftover grounds out, so stale coffee doesn't end up in your next shot.

⚖️ Built for single dosing

Weigh your beans, grind exactly that dose and switch coffees whenever you like without purging a hopper.

🎚️ Stepless Quick Set adjustment

Fine, stepless control lets you make the small changes espresso needs when dialling in.

Why Single Dosing Changes Your Workflow

A conventional grinder keeps beans in a hopper and some ground coffee inside the chamber. A single-dose grinder like the E5SD holds nothing between shots.

  • You weigh each dose before grinding, so the dose in the basket matches the recipe every time.
  • The bellows clears grounds left in the chamber, so each shot is made only from freshly ground coffee.
  • Because nothing is stored, you can change beans for every shot without wasting coffee purging the grinder.

The result is precise, repeatable doses and the freedom to try a new coffee whenever you like.

Ceado E5SD vs Niche Zero

The Niche Zero is the other single-dose grinder most home baristas consider.

Feature Ceado E5SD Niche Zero
Burrs 64 mm flat 63 mm conical
Cup profile Clarity, separation of flavours Body and texture
Dosing Single dose with bellows Single dose, near-zero retention
Adjustment Stepless Stepless

Di Pacci recommendation: Choose the E5SD if you mostly drink espresso from lighter roasts and want flat-burr clarity. Don't bother if you prefer heavier-bodied traditional espresso or want an even more compact footprint; the Niche Zero suits that better.

Best Machines for the Ceado E5SD

Ceado E5SD Coffee Grinder — Frequently Asked Questions

What burrs does the Ceado E5SD use?

The E5SD uses 64 mm flat burrs, which give the clarity and flavour separation many espresso drinkers look for.

How does the Ceado E5SD bellows work?

After grinding, you squeeze the bellows on top of the chamber. The burst of air pushes leftover grounds out, so retention stays close to zero.

Is the Ceado E5SD good for single dosing?

Yes. It is built for single dosing: weigh your beans, grind that dose and clear the chamber with the bellows, then switch beans whenever you like.

Can the E5SD grind for filter coffee?

It adjusts steplessly, but it is designed and best suited to espresso. If you mainly brew filter, ask us about a grinder set up for coarser grinds.
