Di Pacci — E61 Heat-Exchanger Espresso Machine

Isomac Tea Due Coffee Machine

The Isomac Tea Due is a stainless, Italian-made heat-exchanger machine with an E61 group and twin gauges, built to brew and steam at the same time on a home bench.

The Isomac Tea Due is a heat-exchanger espresso machine with a 1.2 litre copper boiler and an E61 group, so steam stays ready while you pull a shot. Boiler and pump pressure gauges sit on the front panel, so you can see what the machine is doing at a glance.

It runs a vibration pump from a 3 litre internal tank, so there's no plumbing to arrange, and the 1400 W element draws well under the limit of a standard 10 amp power point. The brushed stainless body is classic Isomac — simple to wipe down and easy for our technicians to service.

Key Features of the Tea Due

🔥 Brew and steam together

The 1.2 litre heat-exchanger boiler keeps steam ready while brew water is heated on its way to the group.

☕ E61 group

The E61 is a proven, temperature-stable group that takes standard 58 mm baskets, tampers and portafilters.

📊 Boiler and pump gauges

Two front gauges show boiler pressure and the pressure at the pump while you brew.

🪙 Copper boiler

A 1.2 litre copper boiler holds heat steadily for back-to-back milk drinks.

💧 3 L tank, no plumbing

A 3 litre internal tank and vibration pump mean it works anywhere with a power point.

🔧 Simple to service

Classic Isomac internals are straightforward for our in-house technicians to maintain.

How a Heat Exchanger Works

The Tea Due has one boiler kept at steaming temperature. Brew water doesn't come straight from it; it passes through a tube running through the boiler and is heated on the way to the group.

  • The boiler stays hot enough for steam, so the wand is always ready.
  • Fresh water is heated as it flows through the heat exchanger, so brew water isn't stale boiler water.
  • After the machine sits idle, a short flush brings the group back to brewing temperature.

You get cafe-style brew-and-steam convenience at a lower price than a dual boiler, with a quick flush the only habit to learn.

Tea Due vs Zaffiro Due

Both are stainless Isomac machines with an E61 group. The Tea Due is the heat exchanger; the Zaffiro Due is the single boiler.

Boiler type Heat exchanger Single boiler
Boiler size 1.2 L copper 0.7 L copper
Brew & steam at once Yes No (switch between)

Best for Milk drinks back-to-back Mostly espresso, lower price

Di Pacci recommendation: Choose the Tea Due if you make milk drinks and want steam ready while you brew. Don't bother if you want precise, adjustable brew temperature; a PID dual boiler such as the Quick Mill Vetrano gives you that control.

Best Grinders for the Tea Due

An E61 heat-exchanger machine rewards a grinder that can make small, repeatable adjustments.

Grinder Burr Why it pairs well
Eureka Mignon Specialita 55 55 mm flat Quiet, stepless and a tidy match beside the Tea Due
Niche Zero 63 mm conical Single-dose with near-zero retention for switching beans
Turin DF64 Gen 2 64 mm flat Flat-burr clarity at a price that suits this machine

Yes. The Tea Due uses a 1.2 litre heat-exchanger boiler, so steam is ready while you pull a shot.

Is the Tea Due plumbed or tank-fed?

It is tank-fed from a 3 litre internal tank with a vibration pump, so it doesn't need plumbing.

What do the two gauges show?

One shows boiler pressure and the other shows the pump pressure while you brew, so you can see the machine is set up correctly.

What portafilter size does it use?
