Mahlkonig EK43 S Coffee Grinder

The Mahlkonig EK43 S puts the famous EK43's 98 mm burrs and output into a shorter body that fits under cafe cabinetry.

The Mahlkonig EK43 S is the compact version of the EK43, the grinder specialty cafes use for single origins, filter and espresso alike. It has 98 mm cast steel flat burrs driven by a 1300 W motor at 1450 rpm on Australian 50 Hz power, and grinds at roughly 19 to 21 g per second. Adjustment is stepless, and it grinds everything from Turkish fine to coarse filter.

At 68 cm tall it is noticeably shorter than the standard EK43, so it fits under overhead shelving. It is a single-dose, grind-on-demand style grinder: you weigh beans in and grind straight into a cup, portafilter or bag using the supplied bag holder. The standard hopper holds about 250 g, with optional 1200 g and 1800 g hoppers if you want to grind larger batches.
